In its candidacy for Seven World Natural Wonders Djavolja Varos was included in the group D (caves, stone formation, valleys). During the biggest part of the first phase of the campaign Djavolja Varos was the best placed European candidate. In the second phase, which started 07.01.2009 Djavolja Varos was in most cases on the first place in its category.
